Are we there yet??? 35 Weeks

Well, I am now officially going to explode...just kidding. I have however, hit a point where I am ready to have this baby. She is still quite active and things are getting really crowded in there. I had another ultrasound today and all appears normal. I was able to talk the tech into a few seconds with the new 4-D ultrasound and I got a good look at the baby's face - she is going to have the CHEEKS! Yeah! The tech did send me home with a few new pictures to share. Keep in mind that as we get closer to the end, the ultrasound pictures will be tougher to decipher since there is less room and amniotic fluid.

The first picture is split with her face on the top and her foot on the bottom.

The second one is a profile. You can see her nose, but her fist was over her mouth.

Week 34

Okay, finally the end is near. I cannot stand it. I went to the OB on Monday and apparently I will be having weekly ultrasounds for what's called a biophysical profile until our little lady arrives. All is well still, but I am starting to feel pretty rough. Sleeping is the worst, not only because of the sixteen trips to the bathroom each night, but finding a comfortable position is next to impossible. The baby kicks all night and sleeps mostly during the day. Let's hope she gets it together before she's born or I'll be a total zombie. Can you believe that I am still excited about her arrival after all of my moaning and whining?! Next post will be the end of next week after my appointment.

Week 33 Check Up and Ultrasound

Just a quick update... I had an ultrasound today and the projected weight of the baby is 4lbs. 15oz. which puts her in the 58 percentile for this stage in the pregnancy. This is great news as we were very concerned that she might be growing too fast. The doctor advised that I will be induced by week 39 if I haven't delivered on my own by then. 32 week check up

Well, I went in for another OB visit yesterday and am down one more pound. The baby's heart beat was the clearest that I've heard and all is well. According to the doctor, she is still measuring around 34 weeks or so. Apparently the diabetic diet and glyburide are working and slowing her growth down a bit. I am feeling relieved because delivering a ten-pounder just doesn't sound like that much fun! There are no guarantees though, so we'll just have to wait and see! I have an ultrasound next Monday, so expect pictures to be posted early next week. They will also give an approximate size at that time.
